FSU football continues its unbeaten streak against the Duke Blue Devils.

We didn’t know if we’d get to see FSU football play again after the Duke game was canceled the first time. Some fans wanted the season over after such a disappointing season.

However, the importance of being able to play these games can’t be understated. FSU football fields one of the youngest teams in the nation, and they need all of the reps they can get.

On top of that, the athletic program needs the revenue from hosting a home game, not to mention the local businesses in the area that have been hit hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The game against Duke showed some progress in areas as the Noles have been practicing during the weeks they’ve had games postponed or canceled.

It also showed some of the same flaws we’ve seen for the past couple of years. I thought the offense would be fine with a healthy Jordan Travis leading the way, and that turned out to be true. My biggest questions were regarding the defense, and I still have questions about the defense.

However, it was a defensive play that turned the tide of the game when they forced a turnover and knocked Duke’s starting quarterback out of the game.

Let’s get into the three takeaways from the Duke game.
