The 20th-ranked Seminoles look to avenge last season’s loss to the Hoosiers.

While you never want to look at a game like the North Florida game last week as a pre-season match-up, that is what it effectively was for Florida State. While they had their great moments in the game, there still is always room for improvement.

Coming off of a big 86-58 victory over the Ospreys, the No. 20 Seminoles face their first real test of the season this Wednesday as they once again do battle with the Indiana Hoosiers in a rematch from last year as a part of the yearly ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Indiana won last year’s game, 80-64, in Bloomington, Indiana, led by Devonte Green’s 30 point performance.

This year’s game takes place in Tallahassee, and the Seminoles will have a home-court advantage. The Hoosiers (3-1) are coming off of a third-place finish in the relocated Maui Invitational, have history on their side in this game. They are 5-0 all-time against FSU basketball.

Though Florida State has been able to take care of business on their end over the past few years, historically they haven’t been great in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Though they are 4-1 over the past five seasons dating back to 2016, since the beginning of the challenge in 1999, they are 9-12 all-time, just the seventh-best record in the ACC.

These two teams seem very evenly matched on paper, but let’s take a deeper dive at this game to see just how Florida State matches up with Indiana, and what they’ll need to do to secure a victory.
