Replacing their stars

With the departures of Devin Vassell, Patrick Williams, and Trent Forrest, the Seminoles will look to senior guard MJ Walker as the leader of this team. Walker is the team’s returning leading scorer, as he averaged 10.6 points per game in 26 total games played.

Other key returning players include forwards Malik Osborne and Raiquan Gray and guard Anthony Polite.

However, the player that all Seminoles fans are really excited to see is freshman Scottie Barnes.

A consensus five-star recruit, Barnes is expected to be a star for Florida State this season. He’s one of the more versatile players on the roster, standing at 6-9 but having a nice blend of point guard skills and forward length. Watching him play tonight will be a treat in and of itself.

While the Seminoles will certainly miss the production of Vassell, Williams, and Forrest, having Walker return and bringing Barnes into the mix should help FSU basketball pick right back up where they left off last season.
