Parting Thoughts

Maybe you were not a fan of Mike Norvell before Monday, but the way he handled himself during Monday’s press conference should have shown you something.

I know the team is 2-6 right now, and I’ve documented all of the reasons why. However, there’s a fire burning inside Mike Norvell, and Monday, he answered every tough question about the Clemson debacle directly and clearly.

He showed a lot of class, something the guy over at Clemson desperately lacks. As a player, he showed he wants to protect, but also he wants to give you a chance to compete when he feels it’s safe for you to compete.

As a fan, he didn’t back down from Dabo Swinney and even offered to help them pay for the cost to come back to Tallahassee and play the game on December 12.

How can you not respect that or want him to succeed? Mike Norvell may or may not be the coach that gets this program turned around, but I believe he can do it if he has the support.

That begins with the players and the fans of the program. Players’ putting the work in at practice and fans becoming boosters. Let’s make it happen.
