Stay Ahead Of The Chains Offensively

This area is something I wrote about before as the Noles has done an excellent job in this department since Jordan Travis has been QB1.

The only problem they’ve run into is committing penalties like false starts or holding to put them behind the chains.

Jordan Travis has only been sacked a few times since entering the Jacksonville State game, and they were able to run the ball against Louisville even though they got blown out.

Pittsburgh features one of the best defensive lines in the nation, allowing less than two yards per carry to opposing offenses.

They make a living behind the line of scrimmage as they already have 79 tackles for loss through seven games. That’s more than the FSU defense has in 13 games all of last season.

It’s going to be tough sledding, and the FSU coaching staff will need to get creative in their approach. However, the good news is they’ve had two weeks to prepare and have already gone up against two good defensive lines in the first half of the season.
