Respect

The first 10 quarters of this season may very well have been rock bottom for this program. They lost to a freshman making his first college start on the road for a Georgia Tech team that’s only won one other game outside its game with FSU.

However, that Georgia Tech team rolled Louisville by 19 points the week before last. The Noles got destroyed by rival Miami in the second game of the season and were on the verge of getting blown out by Jacksonville State at home.

The program was the laughing stock of college football, and people legitimately were not sure they’d win another game after coming back to defeat JSU.

That was with teams like Louisville, Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Duke remaining on the schedule who have a combined record of 6-15 thus far.

Listen, I know Clemson is going to likely beat the brakes off the Noles again, but that’s to be expected right now. I understand the program doesn’t have the same talent level as it had, say five years ago.

However, this team is still too talented to be losing to these types of programs. It’s time for this team to make folk want to respect this program again, and going up to Louisville and beating them for the third consecutive year would continue to give credibility to what Mike Norvell is building in Tallahassee.
