FSU football is coming off its biggest win since the 2016 Orange Bowl victory over Michigan. Here’s why the Louisville game is critical.

The first half FSU football played against North Carolina was arguably its best since one of the second halves of the 2014 season when the Noles would flip a switch and storm back to defeat opponents.

The only problem was the second half featured a lot of the same miscues we’ve come to expect, penalties, missed field goals and allowing teams to capture momentum.

The difference Saturday night was the team found a while to overcome that adversity, just enough to secure the victory over a quality opponent.

It felt surreal to see FSU football play at that level, even in the second half, when things were not going their way, and they were competing, HARD.

The latter being an issue that plagued the team in the early part of the season, but this is two games in a row where I’ve felt they’ve played hard for 60 minutes, going back to the Notre Dame game.

I feel confident that should be a non-issue moving forward, but what I wonder about the most now is how are they going to handle their success?

We’ve finally seen them respond to adversity. We saw it against Jacksonville State, Notre Dame, and against North Carolina. How are they going to respond to success, because frankly, it’s something none of these players has experienced at a high level.

The upcoming game against Louisville is critical for many reasons. Let’s dive into why it’s critical to keep climbing.
