Hold UNC to 35 points or less

There are a few reasons why I set this goal for the Noles. I knew FSU’s offensive line wasn’t as good as Notre Dame, so I expected them to be a bit more productive.

The other part, UNC was averaging 37.7 points per game before the FSU contest, so I figured it would be a good number for the Noles to have a chance to win the game.

North Carolina scored 28 points with two missed field goals, so they would have accomplished this goal even if they had made both field goals.

I can’t stress how important the success on third down and fourth downs were for the FSU defense.

One fourth-down stop came on the FSU 24, and another was inside the red zone on the FSU 6 yard line.

Those were critical as that’s at least six potential points missed if they kick field goals, and how many points did the Noles win by?

There you go.
