Hold UNC to 6.5 ypp or less

North Carolina went into the FSU football game averaging, 7.56 yards per play through three games against some iffy competition.

FSU only allowed seven points in the first half, with North Carolina averaging 5.35 yards per play. I think the craziest thing was North Carolina running 45 plays in the first half compared to only 28 for the FSU offense.

Of course, it was to be expected for North Carolina to get it going offensively in the second half. The Noles were holding a huge lead, and North Carolina was going to have to put the ball in the air to move the ball more quickly downfield.

North Carolina made some ridiculous catches in this game, but also dropped some gimme passes too, so ultimately, the football God’s equaled things out.

The Noles defense held a potent North Carolina rushing attack to 4.1 yards per carry. North Carolina was able to execute several huge explosive plays in the second half to push them just over the goal I set for the defense.

FSU had four sacks and eight tackles for loss, which is their best performance all season.

North Carolina averaged 6.88 yards per play, so they didn’t meet the goal but was close enough.
