Great Win All Around

This is the type of game the Noles needed against a top-ranked team. They had a not of negative things to happen during the week, from losing Tamorrion Terry to losing legacy commit Branden Jennings.

It was the second game in a row they were double-digit underdogs and covered the spread. It was another game they showed improvement in all three phases.

There’s no question there are a ton of issues they need to work out. They are still committing too many dumb penalties, as they had 12 penalties for 89 yards on the night.

It was clear they missed Tamorrion Terry, as they only completed eight passes the entire game.

However, that’s also another reason this win is so huge for the program. It’s something Mike Norvell and staff can use to promote on the recruiting trail.

There is clear progress being made from game-to-game, and that’s something the previous coaching staff could never point to.

Now, they need to go to Louisville and stack another win on top of this one to keep the momentum going in the right direction.
