Key Moments Hurt The Noles

FSU should have blown the doors off of North Carolina as they left way too many points on the field in crucial situations.

The Noles were in prime scoring opportunities in the first and second halves, only to come away with three points instead of 14.

A huge moment in the game came early in the second quarter with the Noles up 7-0. FSU had the ball first and goal at the four-yard line after a 58-yard pass to Ontaria Wilson.

However, a penalty on second down made it second and goal from the nine, and ultimately the Noles had to settle for a 24-yard field goal.

Another missed opportunity came on their first offensive possession in the third quarter when the Noles were first and goal on the six-yard line.

A personal foul penalty on Dontae Lucas made it second and goal on the UNC 21-yard line. The Noles wound up missing a 33-yard field goal on that possession, which gave a lot of momentum to North Carolina.

There were too many opportunities to make a huge statement and put UNC away early instead of allowing them to come back in the second half.
