Allow Less Than 40 Percent on Third Down Conversions

This area is somewhere the FSU defense has been incompetent in the first few games. They did hold Notre Dame to 2 of 8 in this department, but the problem was Notre Dame only had eight third downs for the entire game.

UNC does a good job of finding success on first and second down, which leaves their third downs as manageable to convert.

It’s a prime reason they are converting 51 percent of their third downs on the season. The scary part is they have gotten better with each respective game.

UNC has faced third downs 13, 12, and 10 times in each game. They’ve converted 5, 7, and 6 of those opportunities.

Not only are the number of third downs they are facing are decreasing, but they are converting them at a higher percentage.

I need to see FSU force them to see 10+ third downs on Saturday night and convert and keep them at or below 40 percent conversion.
