Jordan Travis Is A Difference Maker

There were a lot of questions about the FSU offense and Jordan Travis going into the Notre Dame game.

Travis played excellent against Jacksonville State the previous week, so it was hard to tell if that was fool’s gold or not.

FSU has its quarterback for now as Travis made plays with his legs and his arm to keep the Noles in the game against one of the best defenses they’ll face.

I can only imagine what the offense would have looked like with James Blackman or Tate Rodemaker under center.

Travis’s ability to move out of the pocket and escape pressure gives the FSU offense an extra element. It forces teams to make decisions instead of pinning their ears back when they know the quarterback isn’t a real threat to run with the ball.

He isn’t a great passer, but I think he’s serviceable enough for FSU to put up points on most teams on the schedule. As long as he can be serviceable, teams will have to respect that which makes him dangerous as a running threat.

It also feels like the offensive players have taken on his tough mentality. Travis has always played hard when in the game, and now we see the offense do the same thing.
