Program Showed Heart

There were times early in the game when every FSU football fan likely asked themselves if this was the moment FSU would fold like a wet t-shirt.

The first moment was when Notre Dame scored to make it 14-3 and forced FSU to punt on their ensuing possession. However, Notre Dame fumbled the punt, giving FSU great field position that they capitalized on to take a 17-14 lead.

The FSU offense battled ALL night, led by a valiant effort from quarterback Jordan Travis and the supporting cast. The offensive line blocked fairly well, and the FSU receivers blocked and made some tough catches.

Of course, they had their share of drops and missed assignments, and the defense looked overmatched all night.

However, the FSU defense finally showed some heart at the end of the game, getting a stop on fourth and goal to prevent Notre Dame from scoring.

I’m not sure the defense will get much better, but they showed some pride and heart for a bit at least.
