Final Thoughts

Do yourself a favor and don’t go into this game with any expectations. I’m going into this game looking for continued progress from the offense.

The Noles converted third downs at a 62.5 percent clip against Jacksonville State. That’s not going to happen against Notre Dame, but I want to see if they can consistently stay out of 2nd and third and long situations.

I want to see if the defense plays with any sort of renewed energy. Can they get off the field on third downs?

Notre Dame has converted third downs at a 50 percent clip while only allowing opposing offenses to convert 20 percent of the time.

The Noles have had a tough time stopping mobile quarterbacks, and Notre Dame’s Ian Booker can get it done with his arm and his legs.

FSU football doesn’t have to win, but here’s to hoping the Noles can show progress against a quality opponent.

If so, that would help the Noles in recruiting and show Mike Norvell has this program going in the right direction.
