Final Thoughts

As I said, don’t expect things to be fixed overnight if Tate Rodemaker or Chubba Purdy are inserted as starters next week against Jacksonville State.

It’s the most important move Mike Norvell needs to make right now. I’m still rooting for the young man to graduate and to be a success.

He’s given all that he can while dealing with an impossible hand on top of not being able to capitalize when situations present themselves.

To Mike Norvell’s credit, they did start playing a ton of younger players later in the Miami game, and they played with great effort.

We saw Tate Rodemaker make an appearance, and he made some mistakes, but I expect him to only get better with more experience and proper coaching.

The same goes for Chubba Purdy when he’s healthy enough to play, which is another thing that’s been missing in Tallahassee. A true competition at quarterback and Mike Norvell already snagging Luke Altmyer shows that’s going to always be the case.

Once the quarterback position is under control, the team will take on the identity of that guy, and it’ll be easier to do everything else.
