Explosive Plays

FSU’s offense likely isn’t going to be able to maintain 10-12 play drives consistently against Miami’s defense.

However, one thing they’ll need to do is connect on the explosive plays when they present themselves. They had several opportunities against Georgia Tech and couldn’t convert.

Tamorrion Terry and Warren Thompson will need big games while avoiding the drops they had against Georgia Tech. It would be nice to see Keyshawn Helton have more than one catch too.

I think the running backs can have success in the screen game against an aggressive Miami defensive front.

We saw that early in the game against Georgia Tech, and that’s something they should go back to when it looks like Miami’s getting too aggressive upfront.

Lousiville had eight players with one play of 15 yards or more against Miami next week. I think FSU will need something similar to have a shot at pulling off the upset.
