Final Thoughts

The good thing there was not a ton of coverage busts, and a lot of the issues on defense are correctable. It’s not like there were players not in a position to make the plays.

Coach Fuller talked about the pass rush and secondary coverage going hand-in-hand. FSU has to get more of a pass rush, and quite honestly, there were plays where the defensive line seemed to be going through the motions.

The secondary needs to win their one-on-one matchups, and they did for the most part, aside from the touchdown Jarrian Jones gave up.

He turned to find the ball and never broke stride to try and make a play on the ball. As a defender, he needs to be more aware of where he is on the field.

Six tackles for loss, one sack, and two quarterback hurries aren’t going to get the job done either. I think Fuller is aware of the issues, but it’s going to be interesting to see if they can make the corrections when they play Miami next week.
