FSU football didn’t play collectively on offense or defense against Georgia Tech, but there were three players who shined Saturday.

What a way to begin the college football season, huh? FSU football hosted Georgia Tech as double-digit betting favorites and allowed a less talented team with a freshman at quarterback to take the game away from them.

I wrote about how the only unit on the team that shined was special teams. However, some individual performances that stood out Saturday as well.

The crazy thing is only one of these names is one you’d expect for the most part, which is concerning.

FSU’s issues are a variety of things, and they need to be able to find a way to play together as a unit on both sides of the ball.

The interesting thing is they played together as a unit on special teams, which is a mixture of players from the offense and defense.

How can they find a way to play together, but those respective units couldn’t? I know part of it is missing lots of practice time with a new staff. Georgia Tech did have that advantage in that they are in their second year as a coaching staff for the most part.

Nevertheless, let’s get to the three players that had great individual games against the Yellow Jackets.
