Double Digit Betting Favorites

It would be different if the Noles were playing their opening game against Clemson or Notre Dame.

The Noles would be betting underdogs in those games, and the expectations of outright winning would not be what they are against Georgia Tech.

Heck, covering the spread against the likes of Clemson and Notre Dame could be viewed as significant progress considering what we’ve witnessed the last few seasons.

The Noles opened at -11 point betting favorites at most betting places, meaning oddsmakers thinks the Noles should win this game the majority of the time.

If the Noles lost as double-digit betting favorites? Let’s say any faith FSU football fans would have in Mike Norvell would vanish.

The Yellow Jackets are selected to finish last in the conference after last season with a 3-9 record. A loss here would mean expectations would need to be altered drastically, and hopes of winning six or more games are probably out of the window.
