Tight End

Projected Starter: Camren McDonald
Back Up: Carter Boatwright
Rotation: Wyatt Rector, Markeston Douglas

Junior Camren McDonald is the top choice to start at tight end in 2020 despite only having six receptions in his FSU football career.

However, he’s put on needed size to be more effective in the blocking game while being a threat in the passing game.

I list Carter Boatwright over Rector because he at least is more familiar with playing the tight end position and was able to enroll early.

He adds solid size for a freshman, but Rector has put in a lot of work to make the transition from quarterback and could see snaps in 2020.

Douglas is raw but has the size Mike Norvell likes at the tight end position. However, he wasn’t able to enroll early and probably won’t see much action this season unless injuries take their toll. UCLA transfer Jordan Wilson lost for the season due to injury hurts here big-time.
