TE Depth/Inexperience

FSU football lost almost all of its experience at this position when Tre McKitty decided to enter the transfer portal.

That left junior Camren McDonald as the most experienced tight end on the roster. Knowing this, Mike Norvell pursued UCLA tight end, Jordan Wilson, in the transfer portal and got him to Tallahassee.

However, unfortunately, Wilson was injured while at practice and lost for the season, which left the Noles with three tight ends with no game experience.

Former redshirt sophomore QB Wyatt Rector, freshman Carter Boatright, and freshman Markeston Douglas are the players behind McDonald on the depth chart.

McDonald has worked hard on his game, especially the blocking part, as he was more of a receiving tight end. Rector is still trying to learn the nuances of the position, with Boatright and Douglas continuing to adjust to the college game while learning the position.

FSU football needs good injury luck with McDonald, or things could get dicey.
