Kalen DeLoach

Some fans could be surprised to see Kalen DeLoach on this list. He saw action in eight games last season as a freshman and finished the season with three tackles on the season.

DeLoach is incredibly athletic and will be valuable in pass coverage against teams with spread offenses, which account for a large number of teams on the schedule.

He’ll be playing the “Stud” and “Will” positions. Both positions will require him to work in space, with the latter involving him playing man-to-man coverage on running backs and tight ends.

I would not be surprised to see DeLoach have upwards of 35+ tackles for FSU football before the season is over. That’ll be a huge increase over last season, and welcome him as a meaningful contributor to the defense in 2020.
