Defensive Line Should Be Elite

We thought the same coming out of fall camp a year ago, but no one could predict the dysfunction of having a defensive coordinator trying to run a scheme he had never run before.

The biggest problem was the inability to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and it didn’t help Joshua Kaindoh was lost for the season in the third game of the year.

Nevertheless, the defensive line returns three senior starters in Joshua Kaindoh, Marvin Wilson, and Janarius Robinson.

That’s a lot of experience and talent combined with redshirt junior Corey Durden. Not to mention quality players in Robert Cooper, Tru Thompson, and Fabien Lovett in the mix.

I’m confident the interior of the defensive line will wreak havoc and be good against the run. Adam Fuller’s scheme is more aggressive with stunts to create more one-on-one opportunities.

If Kaindoh and Robinson elevate their games a bit from last year, this front will be a major problem for opposing offensive lines. The good news is Kaindoh looks to have elevated his game A LOT.
