Linebackers

I’m excited about the linebackers this season. Seniors Leonard Warner and Emmett Rice return to lead this group with Rice emerging as the second leading tackler on the team last year.

The last coaching staff did a great job of flipping a weak unit into a position of strength in just two recruiting cycles. Now, the current coaching staff will be an upgrade when it comes to X’s and O’s.

There’s much better depth here than in years past, and I expect several young players like Stephen Dix Jr., Kalen Deloach, Jaleel McRae, Kevon Glenn, and DJ Lundy to get some snaps this season.

There are reports of this unit being more aggressive coming downhill against the run game and having better pursuit to the ball.

I think this unit will be an improvement over last season and finally become a strength, especially with the Noles moving back to a four-down lineman front.

Confidence Ranking-7.5(was 7 last year)
