Honorable Mention

One of the first things Mike Norvell spoke about in his introductory press conference was the importance of special teams.

The Noles have huge questions marks in this phase of the game. They could have a new punter in true freshman Alex Mastromanno, and a new field goal kicker in redshirt freshman Ryan Fitzgerald.

They could have new players at kickoff returner and punt return depending on how fall camp goes.

How will the Noles fare with such youth and inexperience at these important positions? Tommy Martin was a walk-on player that assumed the punting duties last year when Logan Tyler was dismissed from the program.

He started strong but faded down the stretch.

It’s not like Ricky Aguayo was dependable as he got benched at least once last season too. This phase of the game somewhere the Noles need a serious upgrade as they often lost the field position battle during games.
