FSU football: ‘Noles recruiting preparing for the future
By Kelvin Hunt
How This Strategy Can Make A Difference
The state of the program dictates FSU football to go this route. When you’re on top like Clemson, you can afford to be late with offers because recruits and parents know what they are about.
That’s why they can be more selective and only have 33 offers out to 2022 recruits. That’s why FSU football needs to be able to play games in 2020.
After a few games, recruits and parents can form an objective opinion based on what they’ve seen. That’s when the message of you’re a huge piece to the puzzle of getting us where we’re trying to go holds weight.
It’s when Mike Norvell can say we’ve been recruiting you for the last 2-3 years. IF the product on the field is improved, there’s a higher probability FSU will gain commitments from better quality players.
The college landscape can change drastically in a short amount of time. FSU and Clemson are prime examples. Clemson went from Clemsoning to competing for national titles in less than five years.
The reverse happened with FSU football. It’s all about doing the little things to be successful, and getting offers out early and cultivating those relationships is a huge part of it when you’re trying to climb back to the top.
