FSU football: ‘Noles recruiting preparing for the future
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football isn’t going to compete for national championships overnight. The work put in now could pay off sooner than later.
FSU football isn’t setting the world on fire recruiting wise, but they are doing well compared to what the staff has had to deal with in the past seven months.
I gave my thoughts on 2021 recruiting a couple of days ago. It’s a slow burn, stabilizing the program type of class until the Noles can play games and put a product out on the field.
However, it’s the 2022 recruiting class and beyond where Mike Norvell and staff can begin to close the gap between the likes of Clemson and Florida.
That’s not lost on the staff getting a headstart on those recruiting classes.
This is one of the smartest things the coaching staff has done since they couldn’t spend time getting players on-campus the past few months.
The ability to identify players early will pay off if the Noles produce an improved product on the field in 2020.
Let’s take a look at what they’ve done so far with 2022, 2023, and 2024 compared to the likes of rivals Clemson, Florida, and Miami.
