Final Thoughts

Just relax in the famous words of Green Bay Packer QB Aaron Rogers. It’s a long way until National Signing Day, and we’ve seen how quickly things can change in recruiting.

Remember, Willie Taggart had the Noles with one of the top recruiting classes in 2018, and things fell off like Big Mac toppings once the product got on the field against Virginia Tech.

The reverse could happen with Mike Norvell and the staff. Recruiting is about relationships and showing the recruits what’s possible at the school they’re being recruited to play.

I believe in the staff considering what they are dealing with that’s outside of their control.

Also, let’s not forget all of those highly ranked recruiting classes from 2015-17 didn’t result in a ton of wins either.

Stars do matter, but there has to be organization and development of the players too. Let’s hope there’s a football season, and then we’ll have a better idea of whether it’s fair or not to criticize this FSU staff on the recruiting trail.
