Marvin Wilson

The most important player on the FSU defense is Marvin Wilson. A projected first-round draft pick by most experts, Wilson is a player that can change games by himself.

Wilson was a dominant player most of the time last season, although he was playing way too many snaps because of a lack of depth at the position.

He surpassed his sophomore numbers for tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks even though he played in three fewer games in 2019.

He was tied for the team lead with five stacks and second on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss in only nine games.

Wilson is the unquestioned leader of the defense and likely the team as a whole. Like Durden, I’m excited to see how he’ll be unleashed in Adam Fuller’s defense.
