FSU football coaches continue to have plan and plan ready for all situations. Fans react to the latest recruiting news of Kimo Makaneole committing.
FSU football wasted no time filling the void left by Jake Slaughter’s decommitment a couple of days ago.
Three-star offensive guard Kimo Makaneole announced his commitment to the Noles Sunday evening.
His commitment brings the 2021 recruiting class total to 14, and their national ranking to No. 21 with a number of blue-chip recruits still on their board.
FSU footaball head coach Mike Norvell was pumped to have Makaneole come onboard:

Kimo will be a starter sooner than later here. Dude is big, fast and mean as hell. Comes from a school that's ran like a college and he plays some of the top competition in Florida.

Remember when y’all bitched about the Niceville lineman having an offer from Texas A&M and not FSU...meanwhile he just committed to FSU on the spot after receiving the offer.

Makaneole checks in at 6’5″ and 285 pounds with 33 offers from the likes of FSU, Louisville, Kansas, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Colorado, Duke, and a host of smaller schools.
He’s considered the No. 687 player nationally, No. 35 offensive guard, and No. 96 player in the state of Florida.
Makaneole is a player FSU offensive line coach Alex Atkins had been working with for some time. However, he didn’t receive the scholarship offer until Sunday in which he took no time in accepting.
He hasn’t visited yet, but that shouldn’t be too difficult to make happen being he’s a little over two hours west of Tallahassee in the Florida panhandle.
Makaneole is listed as a guard but he’ll probably see time there and at offensive tackle since the latter is a huge position of need for the Noles. Of course, he’ll likely redshirt his freshman season while working to get stronger and putting on a little more size. However, he’s got a mean streak and could see the field sooner than later.
It’s great to see a coaching staff that’s prepared for every situation. Welcome to FSU football Kimo Makaneole.
