FSU football continues to lay the groundwork for a strong 2022 recruiting class. They make the top 4 for a top 50 player in Sam McCall.

FSU football fans are about to walk off the ledge because the Noles lost a three-star offensive lineman to Florida.

Depsite the fact it was known he grew up near Gainesville, and was a fan with rumors he’d flip if they eventually offered him.

Anyways, I believe in Mike Norvell and the staff. They’ve been dealt a ridiculous hand to overcome without being able to play any games or having recruits visit campus.

Despite all that, they continue to make top lists of several top players in the 2021 and 2022 recruiting cycle.

The latest list comes from 2022 four-star athlete Sam McCall who list the Noles in his top 4 schools. He announced the news Friday via his Twitter account:

Thoughts

McCall was offered by the Willie Taggart staff and visited in September 2019. He’s considered the No. 47 player overall, No. 6 athlete, and No. 7 player in Florida.

He checks in at 6’2″ and 180 pounds with 13 offers from the likes of FSU, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky, Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and some smaller schools.

There are three 247 Crystal Ball Predictions for the Gators, with all of the predictions being posted in May.

It means a lot for McCall to list the Noles in his top four list of schools considering he hasn’t visited since Mike Norvell became head coach. I wonder what differences he’ll see between the two staff if they can get him on campus again? Will it be enough to shift the thought of the Gators being his leader?

What if the Noles show progress on the field if games take place in a month or so? I think both factors can be huge for FSU football if they come to fruition. If they can’t get him on campus again, then we’ll know that ship has sailed.
