FSU football in the market for another defensive end in its 2021 recruiting class. A North Carolina product is high on the Noles.

FSU football continues to make the top lists of schools for some of the nation’s best players.

The Noles made another top list Monday evening when three-star defensive end Zyun Reeves announced his top five list of schools.

FSU was one of the earlier schools to offer Reeves as he got the offer in late January while visiting Tallahassee during the staff’s first junior day.

He announced his list of schools via his Twitter account and has narrowed the list down to FSU, Michigan State, South Carolina, Virginia, and NC State:

Zyun Reeves checks in at the No. 685 player nationally, No. 46 strong-side defensive end and No. 39 ranked player in North Carolina.

He holds 23 offers from the likes of FSU, South Carolina, NC State, Ole Miss, Duke, Illinois, Michigan State, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Louisville, and some other smaller schools.

He stands 6’7″ and 245 pounds which remind me of another former North Carolina defensive end that chose FSU a few years back in Lorenzo Featherston. Interestingly, North Carolina has not offered Reeves as they have been locking in all of the top talents in the state. He’s visited there a couple of times as well as NC State. Tennessee is the only other school that’s received a visit from him.

Reeves visiting FSU earlier this year puts them squarely in the game against these other schools. However, there are no 247 Crystal Ball Predictions for him at this time.

As a junior, he totaled 88 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two fumbles forced, and 18 QB hurries. He also plays basketball which continues the trend of Mike Norvell and staff targeting athletes that play more than one sport.

The Noles only have one defensive end commit and adding Reeves to the fold would be a good get.
