FSU football is in the market for defensive ends in the 2021 recruiting cycle. One Georgia prospect is high on the Noles.

FSU football continues to make the top lists of schools for some of the nation’s best players.

The Noles made another top list Saturday when three-star defensive end Thomas Davis announced his top three schools.

FSU offered Davis a couple of weeks shortly after the Valdosta, Georgia, product de-committed from Mississippi State.

He’s narrowed it down to the Noles, Canes, and Gamecocks per his Twitter account:

Davis plans to announce his commitment on August 24 and the Miami Hurricanes seem to be the favorite with four votes in the 247 Crystal Ball Predictions. However, it should be noted all of those votes were cast before the Noles offered on June 29.

FSU has historically had a lot of success with players from Lowndes High School, granted that was with previous FSU staff.

The Noles have already made a move to make the top three schools list as they were the last school to offer him. Can they do enough in the next month to land him is the question? I think it’ll come down to if there’s a season or not. The other factor is getting him on campus.

He’s only a short hour and a half drive from Valdosta, and a visit could swing things for the Noles. The other factor is the Noles need defensive ends with Janarious Robinson and Joshua Kaindoh leaving after the 2020 season.

The other option is getting Davis to delay his announcement since they were the last school to offer. That’s the next best thing other than getting him to commit to FSU.

A delay will give the staff more time to develop their relationship, and those instances usually work out in favor of the school pushing for the delay.

We have a month to see FSU get to work!
