FSU football coaches are still hard at work evaluating players for its 2022 recruiting class. Their latest offer is at a position of need from Colorado.

FSU football coaches are looking to solidify its running back unit for the future. The Noles will likely only take one or two running backs in the 2021 recruiting class.

However, they could lose two running backs after the 2020 season with Jashaun Corbin and Khalan Laborn being eligible for the NFL Draft.

That means they’ll likely take another 1-2 running backs in its 2022 recruiting cycle. They’ve already offered 18 running backs with the latest going to Gavin Sawchuk from Littleton, Colorado.

He announced his offer via Twitter Wednesday night:

Sawchuk checks in at 5’11″ and 175 pounds and has 26 offers from the likes of FSU, Alabama, Oregon, Arizona State, California, Oklahoma, Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, TCU, Wisconsin, USC, and others.

Sawchuk doesn’t have a 247 Composite Ranking at this time, but they rank him as the No. 39 player overall, No. 4 running back, and the No. 1 player in Colorado.

He has one 247 Crystal Ball Prediction to Oklahoma with a confidence rating of six that was submitted on May 20.

Thoughts

He’s one of the best running backs in his recruiting cycle. Looking at his highlight video, he has breakaway speed with the ability to make people miss. He seems to fit the mold of modern-day running backs with the ability to be effective in the passing game.

He’ll need to learn to be patient and try not to bounce everything outside at the college level and will need to get bigger and stronger in a college strength and conditioning program. Noles have some work to do against all of the heavy hitters in the country.
