Final Thoughts

I believe one of the biggest problems of the Willie Taggart era was how he assembled his coaching staff.

He hired two offensive coordinators he had never worked with in the past. The first offensive coordinator was in way over his head, and things never seem to be coordinated.

Kendal Briles was hired and was an upgrade, but ultimately the decision to go to a two-quarterback system was a huge reason the offense fell off like Big Mac toppings.

I’m not sure whose decision that was, but it wasn’t smart as they could have just said they were going to use a two-QB system coming out of fall camp.

I think Norvell working with Dillingham is going to eliminate a lot of the issues we’ve seen in the past.

The practices being more organized, coupled with two guys who understand what their roles are in the offense should improve things in 2020.
