FSU football: Noles poised for highly ranked 2021 recruiting class?
By Kelvin Hunt
Targets Remaining
The good news is FSU football isn’t far behind many of the teams currently in front of them in the rankings. As I mentioned, the Noles have at least 10-12 spots remaining in this class.
There are teams like Maryland (No. 14), Iowa (No. 13), Miami (No. 12), Minnesota (No. 9) who are ranked higher than the Noles only because they have more commits. All of them have at least three more commits compared to the Noles.
However, FSU has a higher star player rating average than all of those teams. There’s a higher probability of FSU landing enough players to jump almost all of those teams with the number of blue-chip targets remaining.
Not to mention, most teams that took a lot of commitments early will likely see some de-commitments. Here’s a list of blue-chip targets the Noles could be in the mix for:
- Jaylin White-RB
- Destyn Pazon-WR
- Isaiah Brevard-WR
- Keon Coleman-WR
- Shambre Jackson-SDE
- Lee Hunter-DT (Auburn Commit)
- Marquis Robinson-DT
- Andrew Jones-LB (Will be a four-star)
- Corey Collier Jr.-DB
- Terrion Arnold-DB
- Ahmari Harvey-DB
- Dink Jackson-DB
The Noles are not going to land every single one of those players listed, and I’m sure they are more blue-chip targets out there I’m missing. However, there’s a great shot they could land about 6-8 of those players.
That would be a huge infusion of talent and would increase their overall team ranking significantly. Not to mention, I expect at least a couple of the current three-star commits to earn their fourth star in the composite rankings.
