FSU football got its ninth commitment in its 2021 recruiting class and reactions from all over to pour in for the Texas addition.

FSU football added a verbal commitment from three-star defensive back Jordan Eubanks earlier Saturday afternoon.

It was the second 2021 commitment in as many days for the Noles.

The Denton, Texas, product had 17 other offers as he chose the Noles over the likes of Arkansas, Boston College, Arizona, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Michigan State, and other smaller schools.

He checks in at 6’2″ and 200 pounds and is considered the No. 920 ranked player nationally, No. 59 outside linebacker and the No. 130 player in the state of Texas.

Eubanks is a player who’s seen his stock rise in the past couple of weeks as his composite ranking has risen over 200 spots since the Noles made his top six list nearly two weeks ago.

He announced the commitment via his Twitter account:

Thoughts On His Commitment

Chris Marve was the lead recruiter in the recruitment of Eubanks so I trust his evaluation and the staff’s decision to green-light the commitment even though Eubanks hasn’t visited campus yet. Eubanks is a player that’ll need to hit the weight room as he continues to mature physically.

It should be noted he’s played a lot of safety in high school, so his ability to play in space could make him valuable in coverage. He’s physical for his size, which should only get better once he bulks up a bit to be more effective against the run.

If you’re worried about his size, remember Telvin Smith wasn’t a huge linebacker but was incredibly effective once he understood his role in the defense and went on to become one of the best linebackers in the NFL for a bit. This commitment moves the Noles to No. 29 in the nation.
