FSU football is looking for playmakers on both sides of the ball. They are also interested in bringing players that excel at more than football.

FSU football has a tradition of bringing in players that excel on and off the field. Several players in the past have competed in football, basketball, baseball, and track.

Deion Sanders, Charlie Ward, Jamies Winston, Jalen Ramsey, and Marquez White are a few of the players that were able to accomplish the feat.

The new coaching staff is looking for ways to differentiate themselves from the pack and the Noles are one of the few athletic programs that have multiple sports among the best in the nation.

It looks like Mike Norvell is interested in keeping that tradition going as he highlighted a player who signed in the last recruiting cycle that plans to play two sports.

There are a few recruiting targets who are interesting in playing two sports in college. The obvious choices would be either basketball, baseball, or track and field.

One of the recruits that come to mind is local Tallahassee product Terrion Arnold who’s considered a four-star safety prospect.

The basketball team just won the ACC Regular Season title, and the FSU Men’s Indoor Track and Field team just won the ACC Championship for the 13th time.

FSU baseball is always among the top teams in the nation and went to the College Baseball World Series in its last full season.

There are not many athletic programs that can compete with FSU in terms of how good each program is.

What’s there not to like about those options along with playing on a football team with the rich tradition of FSU?

Mike Norvell already seems to have a great relationship with the coaches of these other sports. Those relationships could be the difference in signing one or two more blue-chip players in the 2021 recruiting cycle and more.
