Decommits

FSU football coaches did an excellent job of getting recruits on campus before the coronavirus shut everything down.

I believe they were on the verge of landing 2-3 commits for 2021 between mid-March and the spring game that was scheduled for mid-April.

However, spring activities were canceled and the coaching staff has been operating virtually as are all the other teams.

The good news is a lot of the current targets the Noles are pursuing DID make it to campus before the shutdown.

However, a lot of the players that have currently committed to some teams have done so without actually visiting campus. That means they’ll probably want to visit other programs once campus visit restrictions are lifted right?

We always talk about follow the visits in college football recruiting. The more places these players visit, the higher the probability there will be a decommitment.

I’d rather wait and let those visits play out and avoid the perception of recruits de-committing to go elsewhere.
