Karlos Williams only played running back for two years at FSU, but it’s another story of what could have been.
Williams made the transition to running back two years playing defense after coming to FSU as a five-star safety out of high school.
His first career carry was a 65-yard TD scamper against Nevada in 2013, where he averaged eight yards per carry that season.
He ultimately amassed 1,747 yards from scrimmage on 278 plays for 23 touchdowns while averaging 6.3 yards per play.
Williams went on to be drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. His first carry in the NFL was a 26-yard touchdown.
He was on his way to a standout career before injuries and violating the NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy multiple times. He signed a futures contract with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts earlier this year.
