6. Florida State. James Wilder Jr.. 804. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. player

Career Stats at FSU

  • Rushing Yards – 1,363
  • Rushing TD – 20
  • Receiving Yards – 182
  • Receiving TD – 2

James Wilder Jr. is another one of those players that we always have to wonder what could have been. What if didn’t have to share carries with Devonta Freeman( Wild &Free) or Karlos Williams?

What if he played linebacker instead of running back? Nevertheless, Wilder Jr. has a small sample size during his three seasons but was productive while only surpassing 100 carries once.

He averaged seven yards per carry his junior season

He amassed 1,545 yards from scrimmage on 250 plays, with 22 touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per play. Wilder Jr. went undrafted after his junior season and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals before moving on to the CFL where he was named the leagues Most Outstanding Rookie.

He helped lead the Toronto Argonauts to the CFL Grey Cup, the league’s version of the Super Bowl. Wilder Jr. signed a one-year deal to remain in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes earlier this year.
