FSU football only had one player selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, there’s six with a good shot of being drafted in 2021.

FSU football and the NFL Draft go together like peanut butter and jelly. The Noles have had an insane number of players selected since the first players drafted in 1951.

FSU football has had at least one player selected for 37 consecutive years. However, the last six drafts have seen a decline in the number of players selected.

Cam Akers was the only Nole selected (2nd round), the first time only one Nole was selected since Everett Brown in 2009.

They’ve only produced 15 draft picks from 2016-20 compared to 33 selections taken from 2012-15.

It should be noted eight of those 15 draft picks have been third round or better, with three of them being selected in the first round. It should have been four because Dalvin Cook was a first-round talent too.

Anyways, a lot of people are spending time writing narratives on FSU football only having one player selected. I wouldn’t put much into that. The Noles had two players selected in 2016 and had five players taken the following year.

They would have had at least two more players drafted had Marvin Wilson and Tamorrion Terry decided to forgo their seniors years.

The 2021 NFL Draft should be a bounce-back year for the Noles, let’s take a look at six players who could be drafted next year.
