FSU football players are nearing five weeks of being away from spring practice. FSU strength and conditioning coaches are leading by example.

FSU football coaches have a tough job during this coronavirus pandemic. They have to find ways to motivate players to work out when they can’t see them face to face.

What better way to do that than to put in the work yourself right? Well, that’s what FSU strength and conditioning staff have been doing the whole time we’ve been in quarantine.

They are constantly posting videos of themselves working out or motivational quotes to inspire the players to hold themselves accountable.

Check out some of the videos from the staff as they go through their own routines on social media:

This is why the strength and conditioning staff are among the most important members of the entire football program.

They spent more time with the players than anyone, and would be trying to motivate, and build the culture of the program to fit the vision of Mike Norvell.

That’s what’s happening now via long-distance relationship. That’s why you see all of the familiar sayings like “CLIMB” and “Get 1 percent better” in the Twitter hashtags. I like how Coach Storms subtly challenges the players with statements too.

“Stay true to what you said you wanted,” is perfect because it makes the player take responsibility for not putting the work in if they aren’t where they want to be when they get back to campus.

Being away from campus two months or longer? It’s going to show quickly if someone didn’t work the way they were supposed to as well.

The coaches posting their own workouts gives the players no excuses for not doing it themselves while they’re away from campus. That’s what I call accountability FSU football fans.
