Final Thoughts

Everyone wants to point to FSU beating Auburn by three points, but a lot of non-FSU fans don’t know Auburn had all of FSU’s offensive plays in the first half because a former FSU coach who was hired by Auburn was on their sidelines.

I would challenge people to go back and look at the offensive difference in the second half of that game.

Once Jimbo Fisher started using towels to shield the signals, FSU averaged nearly eight yards per play in the second half while scoring 24 points.

It was night and day and would have been right on par with their average of 51 points per game had that been the case the entire game.

I respect Clinton-Dix as a player, but anyone claiming they would have beaten FSU that year when they had two losses is a conversation you’ll never win.

Not only that, but every stat you can look at says the Noles would roll Alabama. They have the edge in all three phases of the game.
