Final Thoughts

This recruiting dead period is going to be a problem for all schools not named Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia.

However, it’s particularly going to be tough for FSU football because there’s new staff in place that can’t do much in terms of selling their vision.

Every week that passes is a week lost that could make a difference with a recruiting target. FSU has to find a way to stay on their mind in this wild state of affairs.

Social media is the ticket, and their players and commits could be in the driver’s seat if used properly.

This pandemic isn’t going away anytime soon, and who knows how the NCAA will decide to handle recruiting. Will they take away the Early Signing Period in December?

If so, that would be beneficial to the Noles. If not, that means we’re nine months away and 1-3 of those months could be taken away by this dead period we’re in.

That leaves FSU football little to work with in terms of playing catch up with 2021 recruits they were targeting.

The staff using social media and their players and commits to their full capacity could be a way to find the edge necessary to compete and stay relevant until things return to normal.
