This Team Was A National Title Contender

When oddsmakers give you these odds before you play a game in your conference tournament? That tells you all you need to know.

The NCAA Tournament isn’t necessarily a crap-shoot, but it does largely depend on what bracket a team is placed in and seeding is received.

The good thing for FSU basketball is they can match up with almost any team in the nation and was one of the deepest teams. They did a lot of things well or well enough, but one of their best qualities for how well they played together as a unit.

They didn’t play well together ALL the time, but they seemed to be able to find that switch when they needed to throughout the season.

The odds are this team would have been a No. 2 seed at worst in the NCAA Tournament. The probability of them making the Sweet 16 should have been fairly high, and at that point, you’re willing to take your chances to win four more games considering they had played one of the tougher schedules in the nation.
