Final Thoughts

This pandemic couldn’t have come at a worse time for FSU football. We have a program trying to establish a new culture with a team of coaches trying to implement their schemes in all three phases of the game.

At the same time, they are working to establish relationships with high school coaches and talented players who they’d like to see sign in nine months from now.

However, none of these things can happen right now while relying on players that have had issues with accountability to hold themselves accountable for an unknown amount of time.

The amount of progress that could be lost due to this pandemic likely isn’t measurable for a program like FSU.

It was going to difficult enough to implement the scheme and have each player comfortable with everything that goes into it.

Depending on how much time is missed, the coaches may not get to install everything they want to before the spring ends. Then it’ll be more of the players have to hold themselves accountable during the summer months before everyone returns in the fall.

It’s a tough deal and one that will be impactful moving forward. Here’s hoping everything gets back to normal soon, not just for FSU football, but for all of the people that have been affected by this pandemic.
