FSU football has its second spring practice in the books. FSU head coach Mike Norvell spoke with media afterward and gave his thoughts.

FSU football continues to get acclimated to the way Mike Norvell and staff do things on the football field.

Norvell spoke with media Tuesday and indicated he was pleased with the energy from the players and the coaches as they continue to create the synergy needed for success.

The players have a better idea of where to go, and the Norvell said he saw improvement as they added to the installation in all three phases of the game.

The full interview can be viewed below:

What I love most about Mike Norvell in these interviews is he gives very in-depth answers. This may change with time, but it’s not like he’s in a rush to get it over with as these interviews are nearly 10 minutes long.

It’s not coach speak either. He talks about how players are struggling with success AND adversity faced at practice.

When it comes to quarterbacks, things seem to be progressing. Norvell said he’s seen some good decisions and some really poor decisions. He doesn’t want a quarterback that’s scared to make a mistake. The problem is if the same mistakes keep getting repeated after being corrected.

The good news is it sounds like the quarterbacks have responded well to the adversity endured so far.

One of the more refreshing things we never heard from Jimbo Fisher or Willie Taggart was how Mike Norvell grades his coaches each practice too.

Everybody is held accountable and that’s something the coaches spoke about in their initial interviews and why they wanna work for Mike Norvell.
