Practice Organization

There’s a stark contrast with how the practice is run under Mike Norvell compared to the previous regime.

There wasn’t a ton of wasted time with 60 players standing around while 10-15 players participate in a useless drill.

There were snacks prepared for players once practice was over, with players being able to select a snack based on if they were trying to gain or lose weight.

The nutritional aspect was prevalent in the Jimbo Fisher era as he modernized the program. However, I never recall anyone openly talk about that aspect under Willie Taggart, and there do seem to be some noticeable differences to the physiques of some players.

Everything is precisely measured with an intended purpose whether it’s related to nutrition or how long to work on certain drills while practicing.

The lack of organization and attention to detail have plagued FSU football the past two seasons. If this trend continues, it could be just what the Noles needed to right the ship and win those games they should have won last year.
